萍影舞集 Ping-Shadow Dance Theatre
Ping-Shadow Dance Theatre is famous for developing and elaborating the beauty of dance. Our dance ensemble is devoted to making dancing arts more close to daily lives and also increasing art appreciation.
Our dance creations not only inherit the essence of Chinese culture, but also contain elements of ballet and traditional Chinese dance. Two of our most well-known performances are "The Beauty of The Garden of Peaches" and "Hung Kuei Cakes"(also known as "Dancing Puppets"). "The Beauty of the Garden of Peaches" is a combination of ballet and Taiwanese folk dance. It shows some of the special features of Taiwan, Tung blossoms, peach orchard, Taiwan blue magpie, and temples, etc. " Hung Kuei Cakes " is inspired by the popular characters and stories of the traditional Chinese glove puppetry. Both of these works present our native cultures and daily lives through the art of dance.
Life in Black and White
1. Golden Years
From childhood innocence and a carefree life, there grew a gradually stable and mature joy named ‘the twenty-eight Love Sentimental’. This focus is on the independent adult to understand the responsibility and to bear the bitterness of workers, men and women. This is accomplished through an indisputable quarrel between joy, sweets, and the vicissitudes of life as displayed self-evidently.
2. Songs Without Words
“Songs without words” is a piece describing the relationship between men and women conveying that they are always wrestling amongst each other. The relationship between the repeated collision repairs as being tangled perfectly by seeking to force the continuation of life.
Everyone should have wonderful childhood memories: When a Mother loves her father that has hurt her ...... she would not later feel the right to survive. There will be environmental and social developments of people that need her, but no longer listen to her. To be in a demand/lack of demand driven sense, human beings continue to plunder seasons that become both a silent and crazy modulation of the human well-being. Waiting, frustration, loneliness, and many other feelings to explore...
Red Tortoise Cake
1. Flower Tree
The Former house has a large banyan tree; during the time of the New Year they sat in the shade under a tree after the customary dinner making jokes, anecdotes and memories of the happy hour Red tortoise cake. For the majority of the time, the mother is on the side of the tea. Silent eyes kindly follow our shadow.
2. Love Heart
Summer Tanabata, and I met with him to the temple to see the movie. We read the "Milky Way with". I have some trance and sense of loss being his first bold move. He quietly held my hand and told me: “Worry you not, I am not a cowboy and we will always be together!”
I reverse the grip of his warm palm, but somehow could not help but notice that the mother increasingly conveyed a hunchback figure with seemingly red eyes.
I looked at the Mother busy preparing dishes that looked too fake for the aroma it was giving off. “Worship me, attend to me.”I spoke, as I secretly put on clogs. The other Children then started to play in the yard (picking songs to sing). Huan was playing. I do not know who quietly behind pushed me causing me to fall. But I could not help but burst into tears of pain. My cries alerted my Mother. She was angry but did nothing to appease me as she carefully propped me determining the injury without problems. After then, she took from the table my favorite red tortoise cake to me as I smiled politely.
