The Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, Kuala Lumpur, a Cultural Wing of High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur was established in February 2010 to showcase India's rich heritage and promote multilayered cultural exchanges between the peoples of India and Malaysia.The establishment of the centre is an important initiative of the Government of India, in keeping with the high priority it attaches to its bilateral relations with Malaysia.It conducts classes in Carnatic Vocal, Kathak dance, Yoga, Hindi language and Tabla by trained teachers from India and Malaysia. At the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, more than 700 students have been benefited from the classes.
About the dance style Kathak is one of the nine forms of Indian classical dances, originated from India. This dance form traces its origins to the nomadic bards of ancient northern India, known as Kathakars or storytellers. Its form today contains traces of temple and ritual dances, and the influence of the bhakti movement. From the 16th century onwards it absorbed certain features of Persian dance and central Asian dance which were imported by the royal courts of the Mughal era.

About the Artist Initially Nitin received training in Kathak and Odissi dance form from eminent exponent Guru Parwati Datta since Past 12 years in the time honored Guru –Shishya Tradition later on Nitin studied details and nuances of dance and Abhinaya and finer aspect of dance under tutelage of Padamvibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj in kathak and Guru Kelucharan Mahopatra in Odissi.
Nitin is also graduate in Environmental science and post graduate in Business management from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. M.A in Dance from Lalit kala Kendra Pune University,Pune Under great guru Smt.Shama Bhate(Pune). He has been passed National Eligibility Test for lectureship conducted by University Grant Commission (U.G.C) India.
About the presentation Tarana is traditional composition of north Indian classical music and dance, in which dancer decor space. Teen Taal showcasing technical aspect of dance which includes rhythmic stampings and movements of kathak dance.
