天地人和民族乐团 Tian Di Ren He

There is a story behind the origin of “Elements”. Among the many Chinese Orchestra instructors in Kuala Lumpur, there were four companions: Leong Han Kuei, Lim Chee Wei, Wong Wai Jan and Tan Jie. Due to their busy teaching and performing schedules, they gradually lost the platform where they matured and flourished together throughout the years. One night in 2011, somebody initiated collaboration among themselves. Leong then suggested to compose a piece titled “Tian Di Ren He (Elements)” for the four friends. An ensemble was then formed, and 6th August 2011 marked the first “Elements” Concert. Thereafter, under the guidance of mentor Wong Hoong Cheong, Elements Chinese Orchestra was successfully registered as a non-governmental organization. Following that, a second concert, “Meng Xun”, was organized on 17th August 2013, and a third, “Sometime After Midnight -2am”, on 26th December 2015.
